Marvel Movie First Looks: Andrew Garfield in SPIDER-MAN costume, Chris Evans in CAPTAIN AMERICA costume (UPDATED with better quality)

We’ve seen a few shots from CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, and we’ve even seen some paparazzi shots from Marc Webb’s SPIDER-MAN reboot, but we’ve yet to see a definitive photo of either Andrew Garfield in the Spidey outfit or Chris Evans in full Cap uniform.  Today that changes. Sony Pictures has (smartly) released the first official photo of Garfield in the Spidey costume. I imagine in the wake of the paparazzi photos, the studio realizes they had better put out an image of their hero before the tabloids beat them to it… or possibly publish a much less-flattering one. When I first saw this image, not initially being on board with the idea of Andrew as Peter Parker, I immediately got chills as it looks eerily similar to some of the classic Marvel comic book imagery. I’m changing my feelings on this reboot, for the moment, and genuinely look forward to seeing what else Sony can show us.

Up next, ComicBookMovie got a nice scoop from a reader, in the form of an Entertainment Weekly scan featuring Chris Evans in full Captain America costume (FYI – I cleaned this scan up A LOT, trying to make it look nicer). This still from CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER marks the first time we’ve seen Evans in full uniform, though previous photos gave us a pretty good idea of what to expect. Check it out below. Tell us your thoughts on both these images in the comments below.
