So far we haven’t seen any official press photos from Sony Pictures for director Marc Webb’s 3D SPIDER-MAN reboot, but the paparazzi aren’t backing off. Today we get to see what Andrew Garfield looks like as the newest incarnation of Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man. Sitting next to Emma Stone, who plays Gwen Stacy in the film, this scene was shooting at an unnamed high school in Los Angeles. JustJared posted several shots from this moment, and say in the scene that Peter steals a kiss from Gwen on the bleachers. Ooooh… exciting. Okay sure, it’s no Spidey fighting The Lizard, but it does give us an idea of what Garfield will look like at Parker, which apparently is patterned after a homeless man. Seriously. And what’s with the gloves?!?

Webb’s update is set to open on July 3, 2012. Outside of Garfield and Stone, Chris Zylka is Eugene “Flash” Thompson, Rhys Ifans (GREENBERG) is The Lizard (allegedly), Irrfan Khan (SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE) plays Nels Van Adder (expected to become Proto-Goblin), Annie Parisse (NATIONAL TREASURE) is Mrs. Van Atter, Martin Sheen is Uncle Ben, Sally Field is Aunt May (allegedly), Denis Leary is Gwen’s dad, and finally Campbell Scott and Julianne Nicholson appear as Parker’s parents Richard and Mary Parker, who make an orphan out of Peter… do we really need that part of the story?

Check out many more pics at JustJared’s site. For God’s sake Sony, please release some studio shots so we can avoid posting pap photos like these. Please!
