In November of 2010 we showed you a few images of Daniel Radcliffe in the Hammer horror film THE WOMAN IN BLACK, which should certainly be a departure for the HARRY POTTER star. Now a teaser trailer has popped up online through IGN, which you can see below. It’s pretty short, and doesn’t show much, but definitely gives us a vibe for what kind of movie we’re in for. So far Hammer’s revival hasn’t done well in the United States. Their previous releases, including Matt Reeves’ impressive though little seen LET ME IN and the dumped Hilary Swank thriller THE RESIDENT, didn’t do much to solidify the classic name in the minds of a new generation. But I believe casting someone like Radcliffe could prove to be a smart move, as it’s definitely a needed change of pace for the actor, and should put lots of butts in seats, at least those who will undoubtedly follow him over from his J.K. Rowling days. Sadly, as of right now there is no American release date set, though moviegoers in the UK will see THE WOMAN IN BLACK on October 28. Hopefully we’ll get soon thereafter. Check out the teaser below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.
