Lots of new theatrical posters hitting this week, and we’re rounding them up to get you caught up on the cinema marketing you’ll soon be seeing.  First up, the full poster for RED puts together all of the teaser poster images and gives us a nice collage.  It’s nothing radically new, especially if you saw the teaser posters, but still not a bad poster:

Next up is a banner image for Zack Snyder’s SUCKER PUNCH.  We previously posted the character posters for this film, and the trailer looks pretty amazing.  Check out the enlargeable banner here:

Then we have the new Jay Baruchel independent comedy THE TROTSKY, which is already getting high praise on the film festival circuit, but will it look a little too independent for its own good?  Leon Bronstein is not your average Montreal West high school student. For one thing, none of his peers can claim to be the reincarnation of early 20th century Soviet iconoclast and Red Army hero, Leon Trotsky. When his father sends Leon to public school as punishment for starting a hunger strike at Papa’s clothing factory, Leon quickly lends new meaning to the term ‘student union’, determined as he is to live out his pre-ordained destiny to the fullest and change the world. I like Baruchel, so I’ll definitely give it a chance:

Next we have SINBAD THE FIFTH VOYAGE.  What?  What is this?  A Dynamation movie?  In this day and age?  It’s said to follow THE GOLDEN VOYAGE OF SINBAD (1974) and gives very “special thanks” on the poster credits to the legendary Ray Harryhausen.  I looked up the IMDB info to verify Patrick Stewart (according to the poster) is the narrator.  Not much more available in the way of info.  The poster imagery definitely gives a Harryhausen feel, and though I may like that, are others ready for a throwback flick like this?  Check it out:

Next we have LEGENDARY, which stars Patricia Clarkson, John Cena, and Danny Glover. A book-smart teenager joins his school’s wrestling team as a way to reunite his surviving family members, who split apart after the death of his father, a college wrestling legend, 10 years ago.  Is this John Cena showing us all he can do serious roles?  He’s so darn likable though, so I’ll give it a shot:

Then we’ve got a new poster for LEGEND OF THE GUARDIANS: THE OWLS OF GA’HOOLE, Zack Snyder’s ambitious CGI-animated film based on the popular book series.  If you haven’t seen the latest trailer, it’s HERE.  Check out the latest poster:

And last but not least, a nice little advance poster for Dinsey’s TANGLED, an update on the “Rapunzel” storyline.  If you missed the trailer, it’s HERE.  Zachary Levi (CHUCK) and Mandy Moore provide the lead voices.  Really looking forward to this one, as it blends the advances with CGI animation with classical hand-drawn animation style.  Bring it on!
