If you haven’t heard about it, there’s a new movie coming to theaters about NAVY Seals which just so happens to feature real NAVY Seals. It’s called ACT OF VALOR, and is co-directed by documentary filmmakers/stunt men Mike McCoy and Scott Waugh. One look at the trailer and you can’t help but be a bit intrigued, despite not having any big name actor faces to draw you in. I’ve always found watching real military footage to be amazing, so I guess you could say the idea of a fictional story featuring the genuine article seems bold and fascinating. Relativity is releasing the movie this February, and you might recognize WITHOUT A TRACE‘s Roselyn Sanchez… and hey, is that Tim Roth as the bad guy? Sure looks like him. Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
When the rescue of a kidnapped CIA operative leads to the discovery of a deadly terrorist plot against the U.S., a team of SEALs is dispatched on a worldwide manhunt. As the valiant men of Bandito Platoon race to stop a coordinated attack that could kill and wound thousands of American civilians, they must balance their commitment to country, team and their families back home.
ACT OF VALOR opens February 17, 2012
