In case you didn’t see the previous posting where we showed you an uncanny photo of Meryl Street as Margaret Thatcher, today we get our first teaser trailer for THE IRON LADY, in which she proves once again her chameleon-like acting abilities. Streep plays the famous British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher for director Phyllida Lloyd, who also worked with the popular actress in MAMMA MIA! Jim Broadbent co-stars as Margaret’s husband Dennis. The film is said to be showing its first footage at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Streep was quoted to say “I am trying to approach the role with as much zeal, fervour and attention to detail as the real Lady Thatcher possesses – I can only hope my stamina will begin to approach her own.”

Check out the teaser below, and tell us your thoughts in the comments.
