If THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN: THE SECRET OF THE UNICORN teaser trailers weren’t your cup of Steven Spielberg tea, not to worry, as the masterful director has a live action film also hitting this Christmas. WAR HORSE is a World War II film that follows the relationship of farmer’s boy named Albert (Jeremy Irvine) and a horse called Joey. Upon being separated, the story follows Joey’s experiences in the war, and his inspirational effect on others that come across the majestic animal. The cast includes Tom Hiddleston (THOR), Benedict Cumberbatch, Patrick Kennedy, Emily Watson, Toby Kebbell, David Thewlis, Eddie Marsan and Peter Mullan. It’s based on the fictional children’s novel by Michael Morpurgo, which was first published in 1982, and the 2007 theater production by the same name. DreamWorks has scheduled WAR HORSE to be released on December 28. THR caught the Spanish-subtitled trailer which was leaked online, but we now have the regular American version, which is exactly the same only with English wording.  It’s easy to notice right off the amazing visual design of the film – the shot of people reflected in the horse’s eye is stunning. The First World War is experienced through the journey of this horse—an odyssey of joy and sorrow, passionate friendship and high adventure. “War Horse” is one of the great stories of friendship and war— a successful book, it was turned into a hugely successful international theatrical hit that is arriving on Broadway next year. It now comes to screen in an epic adaptation by one of the great directors in film history.
