SALVATION BOULEVARD trailer & interview with director George Ratliff

.

I had so many wonderful interviews and filmmaker interactions this year at the 2011 Dallas International Film Festival, but one I was particularly looking forward to was speaking with director George Ratliff for his new film SALVATION BOULEVARD. I had the pleasure of moderating George’s Q&A for the movie JOSHUA a few years back when he brought it to Dallas… a film that stayed with me. I enjoy Ratliff’s work and though process when it comes to filmmaking. His newest effort is adapted from the book by Larry Beinhart, and features a stellar cast, including Pierce Brosnan, Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Connelly, Marisa Tomei, Ed Harris, Jim Gaffigan, Isabelle Fuhrman, and Howard Hesseman. Today we have the official trailer for the film, and I’m happy to present my interview from DIFF with George. Check out both below.  Big thanks to Rachel Parker of DFWLive.org for shooting the interview.

Set in the world of mega-churches in which a former Deadhead-turned-born again-Christian finds himself on the run from fundamentalist members of his mega-church who will do anything to protect their larger-than-life pastor.
