Bernie Wrightson’s FRANKENSTEIN gets a sequel, with Steve Niles writing

I can’t tell you how exciting it is to spread the news on this.  Both Bernie Wrightson and Steve Niles are special guests at the Dallas Comic Con this coming weekend – those in the comic industry know Steve for 30 DAYS OF NIGHT and CRIMINAL MACABRE, and Bernie for his spectacular FRANKENSTEIN illustrations.  In fact compilations of Wrightson’s FRANKENSTEIN have sold out multiple printings through the years, and people still look back on it fondly.  Well now fans will have more to savor over, as Bernie and Steve are producing through IDW a new FRANKENSTEIN book called FRANKENSTEIN ALIVE, ALIVE! Check out the first illustration above, which we first saw at BleedingCool.  Niles and Wrightson have actually collaborated on several horror projects through IDW, but this may just be the most exciting.  Even director Guillermo del Toro is trying to produce a new Frankenstein movie using Bernie’s vision of the characters.  Expect to see this one go into multiple printings as well.  Don’t get left behind, pre-order this baby as soon as you can, and check out other works by both creators below.
