Totally awesome 1980’s tribute music video for TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT

The movie TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT doesn’t hit until March, but I can tell you in advance that I’ve seen it… and it’s good.  If you’re a fan of John Hughes’ films, you’re gonna like it.  If you grew up in the 1980’s like me, and particularly if you spent your high school or college year in that timeframe, you’re REALLY gonna like it.  I’ve even got a killer interview with the film’s star Topher Grace which will be posted very soon to promote the release.  But until then, we’ve got what may just be one of the coolest music videos I’ve seen in a long time.  Take the cast of TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT, put them in a video by Atomic Tom for their cover of “Don’t You Want Me”, and mix in incredibly cool references to 1980’s cinema, including SAY ANYTHING, DIRTY DANCING, WEIRD SCIENCE, BACK TO THE FUTURE, THE BLUES BROTHERS, GHOSTBUSTERS, FLASHDANCE, THE TERMINATOR, THE BREAKFAST CLUB, and more… and you’ve got one of the coolest ways to spend 4 minutes since the first time you had sex.  Okay, maybe I’m overselling it (or in some people’s cases underselling it), but it’s an awesome video, and you should really watch it now.  Looks for Topher Grace, Anna Faris, Dan Fogler, Teresa Palmer and Demetri Martin, plus a special appearance by Michael Biehn – all of who are in the film, which opens March 4, 2011.
