A couple of trippy trailers: the sci-fi thriller SKYLINE and ENTER THE VOID

.

.

There’s a few trailers you should check out this week.  First and foremost, the sci-fi thriller SKYLINE, which was teased at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, stars Eric Balfour and Donald Faison, and is produced and directed by the Strause brothers (ALIEN VS. PREDATOR: REQUIEM), whose company Hydraulx has provided visual effects for AVATAR, IRON MAN 2, THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON and 300. Strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame where an extraterrestrial force threatens to swallow the entire human population off the face of the Earth.  The trailer looks pretty darn cool, though it’s still not showing us too terribly much.  Tell us your thoughts below.

SKYLINE opens November 12, 2010

Up next is ENTER THE VOID, which looks incredibly trippy.  Not sure what to make of this just yet, but the trailer looks pretty amazing.   It’s directed by Gaspar Noé, and actually saw its premiere over a year ago at Cannes. According to SlashFilm, IFC picked up domestic distribution rights and will release the film on September 24.  Check it out below and tell us your thoughts.
