New movie poster roundup: DUE DATE, SAW 3-D, and MONSTERS

.

.

A few snazzy new posters to show ya today.  There’s nothing particularly amazing about these, but they’re fun to look at regardless.  We start with the one-sheet for Todd Phillip’s (THE HANGOVER) upcoming comedy DUE DATE, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Zack Galifianakis.  The trailer for this movie is pretty hilarious, and I gotta put Phillips in the category of directors who never (well, hardly ever) let me down.  If you haven’t seen the trailer, you can watch it here.

Next up is a new motion poster for SAW 3D.  Looks pretty cool, but I really wish they could figure out a way to get this motion posters outside of the internet.  Oh sure, you can make lenticular posters, but I think poster-sized video screens with images like this IN theaters would be genius.  This (said t0 be) final installment in the popular horror franchise stars Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, Betsy Russell, friend of the site Sean Patrick Flanery, Gina Holden, and features the long-awaited return of Dr. Gordon himself… Cary Elwes.  You can see the SAW 3D official teaser trailer here.

.

And finally, the big buzz film MONSTERS, from genius independent filmmaker Gareth Edwards.  This guy is getting tons of accolades for his amazing sci-fi film made on a shoestring budget, and soon the whole world will understand why.  MONSTERS is a story of a world already overrun by giant monstrous beings, and how the survivors must deal with the aftermath.  It looks incredible, and from everything I’ve heard, it is.
