Ana de Armas has quickly become a fan-favorite actress after stealing the show in KNIVES OUT and making the most of her limited screen time in NO TIME TO DIE. Her new film BLONDE is sure to get people talking, in which she stars as Marilyn Monroe for director Andrew Dominik (KILLING THEM SOFTLY) in a film adapted from the novel by Joyce Carol Oates. The cast also includes Bobby Cannavale as Joe DiMaggio, Adrien Brody as Arthur Miller, Julianne Nicholson as Gladys Pearl Baker, Caspar Phillipson as John F. Kennedy, Toby Huss as Allan Snyder, Sara Paxton as Miss Flynn, David Warshofsky as Darryl F. Zanuck, Evan Williams as Edward G. Robinson Jr, Xavier Samuel as Charles Chaplin Jr., Michael Masini as Tony Curtis, and Luke Whoriskey as James Dean. Notably, this is produced by Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Tracey Landon, and Scott Robertson. Ana de Armas looks pretty incredible in the trailer, though you can still hear a hint of her accent in some of the dialogue, which is interesting as she reportedly trained with a dialogue coach for a full year to get Monroe’s voice. It’s also possible this may sound different in the finished film. Check out the trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Based on the bestselling novel by Joyce Carol Oates, Blonde boldly reimagines the life of one of Hollywood’s most enduring icons, Marilyn Monroe. From her volatile childhood as Norma Jeane, through her rise to stardom and romantic entanglements, Blonde blurs the lines of fact and fiction to explore the widening split between her public and private selves.

BLONDE hits Netflix on September 23, 2022
