Matt Reeves releases THE BATMAN deleted scene with Barry Keogham as Joker in Arkham Asylum

THE BATMAN is currently doing big box office and bringing lots of folks back to the movie theaters, and with a three-hour run time, there’s a lot there to take in. By now, most folks have heard that one of the most talked-about scenes involves Paul Dano (as The Riddler) talking to Barry Keoghan (as The Joker) in Arkham Asylum, though in the sequence we don’t get a very clear view of Keoghan. Now, director Matt Reeves has released a deleted scene featuring Robert Pattinson as Batman talking to The Joker in Arkham, and it’s a full five minutes. It has to be daunting at this point to try capturing the insanity and gravitas of The Joker after we’ve seen so many iterations of the character, but Keoghan’s performance here, and in particular his look for the character, is really something to behold. I wish this scene had been in the film, but I also understand why it wasn’t, as it probably would have been more of a distraction than anything. Check it out for yourself below and see if you aren’t impressed.
