CRIME STORY trailer – Richard Dreyfuss is a former hitman with Mira Sorvino as his daughter

It’s kind of weird to me that an actor like Richard Dreyfuss isn’t still regularly starring in big movies, but for some reason Hollywood seems to have overlooked him in recent years. The new movie CRIME STORY puts the Oscar-winner front and center as an aging former mob hitman who must call upon his skills when things hit close to home. There will undoubtedly be comparisons made to TAKEN here, but it’s kind of interesting seeing someone like Dreyfuss, who is not tall and necessarily fit (like Liam Neeson for example) playing a tough guy anyway. And it kinda works here! The cast also includes another Oscar-winner in Mira Sorvino, playing his daughter. Cress Williams and Pruitt Taylor Vince also round out the cast, and the film is written and directed by Adam Lipsius. Check out the trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

CRIME STORY hits theaters as well as On Demand and digital on August 13, 2021
