GREENLAND gets a new trailer – Gerard Butler & Morena Baccarin must run from falling comets

The new movie GREENLAND feels oddly topical, especially with everything that’s going on in the world, and recent reports of asteroids hurtling toward Earth. Keep telling yourself – it’s JUST a movie. That said, I love disaster flicks, I can’t explain why but I’ve always had a soft spot for them. In this one Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin (DEADPOOL) star as a couple trying to take shelter from a giant comet heading toward Earth, only things are majorly speeded up when fragments of that comet start crashing down early, with major impacts all around. It’s a race against time to find that coveted safe spot where they’ll be safe from the biggest impact of all. This comes from ANGEL HAS FALLEN director Ric Roman Waugh and co-stars Roger Dale Floyd, Scott Glenn, David Denman, Hope Davis, Andrew Bachelor, and Joshua Mikel. We first posted about this back in June, as it was originally going to open in theaters in August… but, of course, Covid-19 ruined everything. It’s now hitting On Demand this December 18th. Check out the newest trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

A family fights for survival as a planet-killing comet races to Earth. John Garrity (Gerard Butler), his estranged wife Allison (Morena Baccarin), and young son Nathan make a perilous journey to their only hope for sanctuary. Amid terrifying news accounts of cities around the world being leveled by the comet’s fragments, the Garrity’s experience the best and worst in humanity. As the countdown to global apocalypse approaches zero, their incredible trek culminates in a desperate and last-minute flight to a possible safe haven.

GREENLAND will be available On Demand on December 18, 2020
