STUBER red band trailer – Dave Bautista catches a buddy comedy Uber ride with Kumail Nanjiani

If his performance in the first GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY didn’t convince you, his efforts in the sequel should have proven that Dave Bautista isn’t just capable of being an action movie star, he’s also quite good at handling comedy. His newest attempt at that finds him in STUBER, starring alongside Kumail Nanjiani (THE BIG SICK) who plays an Uber driver named Stu (get it?) who must drive around a rough and tough cop for a bit. Hilarity and action scenes ensue. The movie screened a rough cut at this year’s South by Southwest Film Festival, and was received pretty well, though the trailer below feels a little rough. Chances are we’ll see a second trailer before it’s released in July. It also features THE RAID‘s Iko Uwais, Natalie Morales, Betty Gilpin, Jimmy Tatro, Mira Sorvino and Dave’s GUARDIANS co-star Karen Gillan. Check out the new red band trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

When a mild-mannered Uber driver named Stu (Kumail Nanjiani) picks up a passenger (Dave Bautista) who turns out to be a cop hot on the trail of a brutal killer, he’s thrust into a harrowing ordeal where he desperately tries to hold onto his wits, his life and his five-star rating.

STUBER opens July 12, 2019
