When The LEGO Movie hit theaters in 2014, it became a bit of surprise smash hit, helping to make a box office superstar out of Chris Pratt (one of three blockbusters for him in the same year), and propel co-directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller to A-list status. It’s now been five years since its release, and a few spinoffs including The LEGO Batman Movie and The LEGO Ninjago Movie. Now we’re getting The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, which brings back the voices of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, and Alison Brie, and adds in Tiffany Haddish, Nick Offerman, and Stefanie Beatriz. This outing is co-directed by Mike Mitchell (TROLLS) and Trisha Gum, but you’ll have to wait until February of next year to see the end result. Take a look at the first trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

It’s been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: LEGO DUPLO® invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part opens February 9, 2019
