I kind of found this film by accident, and after watching the trailer and noticing a few things in it (just look at that old iPhone!), I have to wonder if this is a movie that’s been sitting on the shelf for a few years. HANGMAN stars Al Pacino and Karl Urban as police detectives trying to track down a serial killer using the children’s game hangman as an influence for his actions. Brittany Snow and Sarah Shahi co-star, and while this seems like an interesting premise, I can’t help but wonder why the production has been so off the radar. The film is directed by Johnny Martin (VENGEANCE: A LOVE STORY), who has been a stuntman and stunt coordinator for 30 years. Check out the trailer below, which does not yet give a release date, but the movie is supposed to hit sometimes this year.

Decorated homicide detective Ray Archer (Al Pacino) and his partner, criminal profiler Will Ruiney, (Karl Urban) are tasked to catch one of the city’s notoriously vicious serial killers who is playing a twisted version of murder using the child’s game – HANGMAN, while crime journalist Christi Davies (Brittany Snow) reports on the crime spree, shadowing the detectives.

HANGMAN has no release date currently, but the IMDB page says 2017
