MOLLY’S GAME trailer – Aaron Sorkin directs Jessica Chastain as an illegal gambling Queen

I remember reading about poker maven Molly Bloom, and her real life exploits in the world of underground gambling. It’s now the subject of a new STX Entertainment film by Aaron Sorkin starring Jessica Chastain (as Molly), Idris Elba, Kevin Costner, Michael Cera, Jeremy Strong, and Chris O’Dowd. And I must say, this is one of the better trailers of the year, really slick and interesting. It also illustrates what an acting chameleon Chastain has become, transforming herself into something sexy and sultry (not that she isn’t already beautiful), but very different from what we’re used to seeing from her. Check out the first trailer for MOLLY’S GAME below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

MOLLY’S GAME is based on the true story of Molly Bloom, an Olympic-class skier who ran the world’s most exclusive high-stakes poker game for a decade before being arrested in the middle of the night by 17 FBI agents wielding automatic weapons. Her players included Hollywood royalty, sports stars, business titans and finally, unbeknownst to her, the Russian mob. Her only ally was her criminal defense lawyer Charlie Jaffey, who learned that there was much more to Molly than the tabloids led us to believe.

MOLLY’S GAME opens November 22, 2017
