Matt Damon and Emily Blunt in a rather cool THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU trailer

With Christopher Nolan’s INCEPTION on the way, which is already drawing comparisons to DARK CITY, I can’t wait to see the comments people make about the new George Nolfi (first-time director, screenwriter of THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM) film THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU.  Based somewhat a Philip K. Dick short story titled “Adjustment Team”, the movie follows a man (Damon) who learns a secret team of men are trying to prevent hi from meeting a woman (Blunt) and falling in love, as it will mean certain doom for them both.  They work in secret to the existing world, but somehow control what we do and our life patterns, for better our worse.  Sound like DARK CITY?  Looks like it too… but it does look cool.  I love the retro look of the clothing, and anything with Terrence Stamp AND John Slattery (MAD MEN) in it is immediately of interest to me.  Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.

THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU opens September 17, 2010
