If the trailer below for ROUGH NIGHT looks and feels familiar, you might notice the plot seems very similar to VERY BAD THINGS. Group of friends going out to party because one is getting married, they hire some “entertainment”, and that person dies by accident… then they have to cover it up while bringing themselves closer together as friends. Yeah, it’s pretty much the same, only ROUGH NIGHT pulls a gender swap on the concept and looks a little more like THE HANGOVER meets BRIDESMAIDS by design. Scarlett Johansson leads an all-star female cast that includes Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer and Zoë Kravitz playing friends reuniting for a bachelorette party. They’re having a blast until they hire a stripper and accidentally kill him, which leads them into some WEEKEND AT BERNIE’S-esque antics. If you’re a fan of the comedy series BROAD CITY, it should be noted this is directed by that show’s own Lucia Aniello, who co-wrote the film with BROAD CITY writer and executive producer Paul W. Downs. There’s already been one trailer for this (which we didn’t post, mainly because it wasn’t a very good trailer), but this is a definite improvement. Tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Five best friends from college (played by Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, and Zoë Kravitz) reunite 10 years later for a wild bachelorette weekend in Miami. Their hard partying takes a hilariously dark turn when they accidentally kill a male stripper. Amidst the craziness of trying to cover it up, they’re ultimately brought closer together when it matters most.
