Talking babies is a comedy theme that never seems to go out of style, though it’s very hit or miss when used. The new Dreamworks Animation feature THE BOSS BABY may have just delivered one of the best ever voice casting choices for a talking baby in the history of cinema. Alec Baldwin plays the surprisingly industrial and business savvy kiddo, and the rest of the voice cast includes Steve Buscemi, Jimmy Kimmel, Lisa Kudrow, and Miles Bakshi. It’s directed by Tom McGrath and written by Michael McCullers – based on the award-winning picture book by Marla Frazee. Check out the amusing final (we’re guessing, it opens in two weeks) trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

DreamWorks Animation and the director of Madagascar invite you to meet a most unusual baby. He wears a suit, speaks with the voice and wit of Alec Baldwin, and stars in the animated comedy, DreamWorks’ The Boss Baby. The Boss Baby is a hilariously universal story about how a new baby’s arrival impacts a family, told from the point of view of a delightfully unreliable narrator, a wildly imaginative 7 year old named Tim. With a sly, heart-filled message about the importance of family, DreamWorks’ The Boss Baby is an authentic and broadly appealing original comedy for all ages.

THE BOSS BABY opens March 31, 2017
