If you’re a fan of the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN movies, you might have been wondering if we’d seen the last of them… not be a long shot. PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES is the fifth film in the popular series. This time out Jack Sparrow must face off with the evil Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem) with his band of ghost pirates from the Devil’s Triangle – now you can see a new extended look, taken from the Super Bowl commercial. There’s only a brief visual of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow here, but he’s definitely in the movie. Sparrow must find the Trident of Poseidon in order to defeat Salazar. The newest installment is directed by Espen Sandberg and Joachim Rønning (KON-TIKI) with a screenplay by Jeff Nathanson (INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL). Depp joins returning cast members Orlando Bloom as Will Turner, Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa, Kevin R. McNally as Joshamee Gibbs and Stephen Graham as Scrum. Joining them is Kaya Scodelario (THE MAZE RUNNER movies) and Brenton Thwaites (MALEFICENT). Check out the extended Super Bowl spot below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea…including him. Captain Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.
