FENCES star Jovan Adepo interview – on working with Denzel Washington & building character

FENCES opens this weekend, and is already on many critics’ best of the year lists. It contains some of the year’s strongest performances, and is directed quite beautifully by Denzel Washington. One of the standout performers in the film is Jovan Adepo, who plays Cory, the son of Denzel and Viola Davis in the film. Cory is a key role as he’s a major source of tension within the story, and the character we’re left with as the movie wraps up with a very important moment. I had a chance to sit down with Adepo and discuss his work on the film, and briefly touch up how excited he is for his next project with acclaimed direct Darren Aronofsky. This is young man to watch, I predict his career is only just beginning. My thanks to Grady May for edited this video.
