Thursday night is always a big night for ABC, playing three back-to-back Shonda Rhimes TV shows – GREY’S ANATOMY, SCANDAL and HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER. Only way to make television bigger for the network is sprinkle a little STAR WARS into it… and that’s exactly what they did. All night they ran short commercial bits with the casts of each show talking about how the franchise related to their respective show characters, or what it meant to them. And then they dropped a new special TV trailer, which contains several new shots. You can see it now below. STAR WARS: EPISODE VII – THE FORCE AWAKENS is still a little over a month away, and most of the plot is still a mystery. Things worthy of note here – new shot of Finn (John Boyega) fighting with a lightsaber, new shots of tie fighters attacking, new scene of Leia debriefing her troops (is that Admiral Ackbar?!?), new shots of Han Solo (Harrison Ford)… let’s just say there’s a lot of great stuff in there. Take a gander at the new TV trailer below, and after watching it twenty or thirty times, tell us your thoughts in the comments. STAR WARS: EPISODE VII – THE FORCE AWAKENS is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, Pip Andersen, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow. Original trilogy stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker are also featured.
