ARROW Season 4 interviews – Paul Blackthorne, Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey, Wendy Mericle

The hit series ARROW returns on The CW tonight, and to prep for that check out four interviews from our San Diego Comic-Con trip. We got a chance to speak with actors Paul Blackthorne (Quentin Lance) and David Ramsey (John Diggle), actress Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak), and executive producer Wendy Mericle. You can see those interviews below. In many ways ARROW sort of paved the way for some of the other superhero TV shows we’re getting now. While it followed SMALLVILLE, it was one of the first DC Comics adaptations in many years to really show the comic book side of its characters successfully. As the series enters its fourth season, it’s helped spawn other DC/WB television shows like THE FLASH, iZOMBIE, GOTHAM, and very soon SUPERGIRL. It stands to reason had ARROW not been a hit, we may have never seen these other entries. Sadly, I missed seeing Stephen Amell at the press line, which was a bummer as I’ve moderated a few Q&A sessions with him at conventions, and he’s always a great guy to talk to. My thanks to Jeni DeFeo for shooting these, and the fine folks at WBTV for including us. Check out the interviews below and look for ARROW‘s return on Wednesday night this week!
