Funny video: The Evolution of Nicolas Cage’s Hair by Harry Hanrahan

This isn’t new, but what the hell. YouTube user Harry Hanrahan posted this video back in January of 2011, and it’s already received 1.5 million views, but just in case you haven’t seen it we’d like to feature it here below. Wherever you sit on the subject of Nicolas Cage as an actor, one thing that’s frequently discussed is his constantly-changing hairstyles in films. Harry decided to pull clips from almost every Nic Cage movie going back to the beginning of his career and up to current (well, current for 2011)… and the real stroke of genius here is the musical choice – “In the Hall of the Mountain King” by Edvard Grieg. I’m also impressed that Mr. Hanrahan made it a point to include some of the more obscure Cage roles, including the bizarre character he played in DEADFALL, his cameo as Fu Manchu in Rob Zombie’s “Werewolf Women of the SS” trailer in GRINDHOUSE, and the 2002 James Franco gem SONNY (directed by Cage!). As this was posted at the start of 2011, it looks like it ends with shots from KICK-ASS and THE SORCERER’S APPRENTICE. Spot any roles you forgot about here? Let us know in the comments.
