Watch the full Dallas Q&A we hosted with Joel Edgerton for THE GIFT

giftQandA-header

Back in July we had the pleasure of hosting a special Q&A session with actor/writer/director Joel Edgerton for THE GIFT. The new film from STX Entertainment has been widely praised by critics (including us) and is a phenomenal twist on the “stalker” genre of thriller movies. It’s a great experiment that has plenty of unexpected twists and turns, and is a solid feature directorial debut for Edgerton, who just continues to prove himself a force to be reckoned with on all sides of the camera. You can watch the full Q&A interview with Joel below, but please note, as this was immediately following the movie there are spoilers throughout. We recommend you see the film first, then watch the Q&A, as especially the audience questions really get into major twists hidden in the film. Also, I had no idea he was going to give me a gift at the start, so my surprise is genuine. My thanks to Gadi Elkon for shooting this, and apologies for the low light in the theater – we thought it would be brighter once the film was over. Also huge thanks to the fine folks at Allied Entertainment and STX Entertainment for making this wonderful experience possible. Edgerton is one of my favorite actors, and I think this film will definitely put him on the map as a go-to director.
