SDCC 2015: Trailer premiere for Alan Tudyk & Nathan Fillion’s CON MAN self-parody

After an incredibly successful crowd-funding campaign earlier this year, Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion’s passion project, CON MAN, has released its first trailer thanks to San Diego Comic-Con 2015. The show, which you can buy and watch on Vimeo, is a sort of self parody in which Tudyk plays the former star of a “canceled too soon” Sci-Fi show that has an insanely passionate following. Tudyk’s character is now living in the shadow of his co-star, played by Fillion, who has become more successful since the show’s cancellation. It also deals with going to conventions, the weirdest of the weird fans, and actors not enjoying being loved for one thing that was just a brief job in their career. Not unlike Joss Whedon’s FIREFLY, the fictional canceled show (called SPECTRUM) was a space adventure series. Get your first look at CON MAN below, which features appearances by Tricia Helfer, Felicia Day, Milo Ventimiglia, Sean Maher, Seth Green, Gina Torres, Henry Rollins, and none other than Joss Whedon. After this first look, I can’t wait to watch the whole thing.
