While James Cameron gave us the first TERMINATOR and TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY, he actually had little-to-nothing to do with any of the sequels that followed, not even the newest movie TERMINATOR: GENISYS. But he is speaking up about the latest cinematic effort playing off the franchise he created, and he’s saying pretty good things. In a new video (which you can watch below) Cameron praises the film by Alan Taylor, and even goes so far as to say he considers it the “third movie” in a way – so yes, that implies he’s ignoring TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES and TERMINATOR: SALVATION. The video also cuts in a lot of new footage from GENISYS, including some pretty spoiler-ish shots. I can’t wait to see old Arnold Schwarzenegger Terminator vs. young Arnold T-1000. Does James Cameron’s seal of approval change that perception? We’ll all find out if he’s right in about a month.
