Saturday Night Live was hosted by Scarlett Johansson last night, and the sketch comedy show is never one to shy away from making a parody of Hollywood’s biggest movies. In this particular instance it’s almost a joke on the fan outcry against Marvel not producing a female superhero standalone film. AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON opened this weekend, already earning hundreds of millions of dollars worldwide, and the studio has successfully released several solo films for their male characters like Iron Man, Thor and Captain America… so why not Black Widow? Well, SNL shows us just how bad that could be. Check out the parody below, which borrows heavily from cheesy romantic comedies, and even movies like THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA. It’s not their strongest sketch, but I saw the humor in it. Tell us what you think in the comments.
