We’re all pretty used to seeing Pierce Brosnan play good guys, even when he’s in an anti-hero type of role there’s still a likability to the man. The new film SURVIVOR sheds that image, depicting Brosnan as a bomb maker (called “The Watchmaker” by the authorities) not afraid to take out innocents while completing his mission. When a woman (played by Milla Jovovich) survives his latest effort, she becomes a target that must be eliminated. This comes from director James McTeigue (V FOR VENDETTA) and also stars Dylan McDermott, Angela Bassett and Robert Forster. I should also warn you, this is one of those trailers that shows a LOT of the movie, so be warned. I’m not sure I understand why they didn’t just call this THE WATCHMAKER, as it would have made more sense and sounded like a better title… but what do I know. Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.

After being mysteriously framed for a terrorist bombing, a Foreign Service Officer (Milla Jovovich) must evade government capture and death by a ruthless assassin (Pierce Brosnan) in order to stop the real perpetrators’ master—and much deadlier—plan. SURVIVOR is directed by James McTeigue and also stars Dylan McDermott, Angela Bassett and Robert Forster.

SURVIVOR opens in theaters and on demand May 29, 2015
