SPLICE gets a trailer, looks every bit as creepy as you’d imagine

If you haven’t heard about writer/director Vincenzo Natali’s film SPLICE, which made a big impression at the Sundance Film Festival, you’re about to.  The movie stars Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley as scientists who create a life form that is a mix between human and animal, and as is often the case with these things, completely out of their control.  Joel Silver, Dark Castle Pictures, and Warner Brothers had enough faith to give this film a proper theatrical release, with (reportedly) a few minor edits here and there.  Check out the trailer below.  We’ve certainly seen this type of film before, but from what I’ve seen this take looks effectively creepy and fascinating.  The “creature” is sure to have people talking.  Look like your cup of tea?  Tell us in the comments.

SPLICE opens nationwide June 4, 2010
