Update on this. All passes have been claimed. We spoke with the studio and they apparently set the Gofobo codes to “admit one” instead of the standard admit two. Unfortunately they did not let us know this ahead of time, and we were not aware this was the case until after ALL passes have been claimed. So while the information in our promotion was technically incorrect, we were also going by what we normally do for every screening promotion with every studio. It is very uncommon for Gofobo codes to be just admit one, so we had no reason to expect this. Since only a few people communicated the issue to us, and it was after all the passes were claimed, there’s nothing we could have done to correct the info. Our apologies to those upset by this, but as always we say you should always go by what’s on the pass no matter what. As most of you know, this is a service we provide without compensation, and we always do our best to provide as much relative information as possible. It’s very rare that these situations come up, so hopefully everyone will be understanding. Original post was as follows:

Bigfanboy.com and Warner Bros. want you to see THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES at a special advance screening in Dallas. We want you and guest to see this one early and for free – the screening will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 7:00pm (NOTE the earlier start time) – at the AMC Northpark Theater in Dallas. Each pass is good for two people. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. One pass per person.

THESE PASSES ARE ONLY GOOD FOR DALLAS!

No need to enter or pick up passes anywhere, but you need to be registered with Gofobo.com first. If you are, then go HERE to print a pass for you and a guest – passes are limited so print yours as soon as possible – once our allotment is used up, that’s it.

The screening in on Wednesday, December 10th at 7:00pm in Dallas. One print off per person please (again, your pass admits for two). Please, no trading of passes. If you’re not 100% sure you can attend, please do not print passes, as you could be taking a pass away from someone who genuinely wants to be there. These passes come to you compliments of Bigfanboy.com, and we frequently offer advance screening passes – please follow us ON TWITTER and ON FACEBOOK.

Remember, once our allotment is used up, that’s it. NOTE – these passes do NOT guarantee you seats, you must arrive EARLY to get a good seat. Showing up an hour before showtime will most likely see you being turned away. Make sure you’re aware of this!

“The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” brings to an epic conclusion the Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) and the Company of Dwarves. The Dwarves of Erebor have reclaimed the vast wealth of their homeland, but now must face the consequences of having unleashed the terrifying Dragon, Smaug, upon the defenseless men, women and children of Lake-town.

As he succumbs to dragon-sickness, the King Under the Mountain, Thorin Oakenshield, sacrifices friendship and honor in his search for the legendary Arkenstone. Unable to help Thorin see reason, Bilbo is driven to make a desperate and dangerous choice, not knowing that even greater perils lie ahead. An ancient enemy has returned to Middle-earth. Sauron, the Dark Lord, has sent forth legions of Orcs in a stealth attack upon the Lonely Mountain. As darkness converges on their escalating conflict, the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide—unite or be destroyed. Bilbo finds himself fighting for his life and the lives of his friends as five great armies go to war.
