The new movie VICE explores a popular Sci-Fi concept, androids thinking for themselves, but puts an interesting spin on it. Bruce Willis plays a man running a posh resort where people can act out their deepest and darkest fantasies. Thomas Jane plays a copy who doesn’t care for this practice. When one of the robots (played by Ambyr Childers) becomes ‘aware’ and decides to escape, she finds herself on the run from her creator and the police. It’s just a question of who will catch up to her first. Check out the trailer below and see what you think. We’re always happy to support Tom Jane, as he’s a friend to the site, but it’s hard to tell on this one. We want your thoughts in the comments.

Julian Michaels (Bruce Willis) has designed the ultimate resort: VICE, where anything goes and the customers can play out their wildest fantasies with artificial inhabitants who look, think and feel like humans. When an artificial (Ambyr Childers) becomes self-aware and escapes, she finds herself caught in the crossfire between Julian’s mercenaries and a cop (Thomas Jane) who is hell-bent on shutting down Vice, and stopping the violence once and for all.

VICE opens in theater on January 16 and is on iTunes the same day
