If you’re not familiar with the name “Alan Turing”, you’re not alone, as many people have never heard of the man before. But his contribution during World War II was extremely important, and it has even affected technology we continue using today. The movie THE IMITATION GAME tells his story, with Benedict Cumberbatch as Turing and Keira Knightley playing his would-be wife and collaborator. It’s also being hyped as a surefire Oscar contender, and has already received rave reviews. The film is directed by Morten Tyldum, who previously gave us the 2011 Norwegian masterpiece HEADHUNTERS. Check out the new trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

In THE IMITATION GAME, Benedict Cumberbatch stars as Alan Turing, the genius British mathematician, logician, cryptologist and computer scientist who led the charge to crack the German Enigma Code that helped the Allies win WWII. Turing went on to assist with the development of computers at the University of Manchester after the war, but was prosecuted by the UK government in 1952 for homosexual acts which the country deemed illegal.

THE IMITATION GAME opens on November 28, 2015
