Two years ago Ian Fleming’s beloved character of James Bond celebrated its cinematic 50th anniversary with the highly successful SKYFALL, Daniel Craig’s third outing at 007. It also saw the exit of Judi Dench as “M”, but the introduction of Ben Whishaw as “Q”, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, and Ralph Fiennes as the new M. The new franchise cast members will be returning for the 24th outing along with SKYFALL director Sam Mendes. So far we’ve heard that wrestler and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY star Dave Bautista and BLUE IS THE WARMEST COLOR star Lea Seydoux would be in the new film, but the biggest news of all hit today. Baz Bamigboye, reporter for Daily Mail who is very much in the know on Bond info, sent out the following Tweet:

While we don’t know exactly what role he’ll be playing just yet, there’s already assumptions he could be playing the main villain. Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 YEARS A SLAVE) was previously rumored for a villain role, so this could be that same character. In a strange bit of irony, Waltz was supposedly in negotiations to star in the fifth PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN film, and that role is now rumored to be taken by SKYFALL villain Javier Bardem. As announcements like this keep coming in, we expect there will be a traditional 007 press conference soon enough to announce the full cast and official title.

BOND 24 is scheduled for release on October 23, 2015 in the UK and November 6, 2015 in the United States. What are you thoughts on Academy Award-winner Christoph Waltz joining the cast? Let us know in the comments.
