Every year we get one or two movies with big ensemble casts and intersecting storylines, sort of in the vein of films like CRASH. One of the latest to fit that mold is REACH ME, directed by John Herzfeld, which revolves around a motivational book that inspires a group of folks to change their ways. The impressive cast includes Sylvester Stallone, Tom Berenger, Kevin Connolly, Kyra Sedgwick, Nelly, Cary Elwes, Thomas Jane, Terry Crews, Danny Aiello, Kelsey Grammer, Lauren Cohan, Ryan Kwanten, and Tom Sizemore. Whew! That’s pretty impressive as it is, but something else REACH ME boasts is a theatrical poster by legendary movie poster artist Drew Struzan, which you can see here:
Some of you may wonder why this is a big deal. Drew has essentially retired from the industry and hasn’t done an official theatrical one sheet in years, so having an official poster hanging in theaters with his art on it is kind of a big deal these days. Struzan is responsible for memorable images from films like BACK TO THE FUTURE, STAR WARS, INDIANA JONES, POLICE ACADEMY, and various MUPPETS films. This is a more simplistic composition for him, looking mostly like he did quick portraits of some of the leads and placed them together like a photo album. But still, it’s a Drew poster, and we couldn’t be happier to show it to our readers. Check out the new trailer for REACH ME below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.
