There were a lot of movies being promoted over the weekend at San Diego Comic-Con 2014, but one of the more “fitting” titles was SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR, the long-awaited sequel to 2005’s SIN CITY. Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller co-direct with an all-star cast including Josh Brolin, Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Michael Madsen, Rosario Dawson, Jamie King, Ray Liotta, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Dennis Haysbert, Julia Garner, and Juno Temple. We’ve seen photos, teaser posters and a few trailers, but this new red band trailer from Comic-Con really delivers – sex, gore, cars and guns… and swords, and throwing stars, it’s got it all. From the beginning I’ve always said it’s great seeing Marv (Rourke) back, and Eva Green looks like a Frank Miller illustration come to life. This one is absolutely on my moviegoing radar. Take a look and see what you think, and let us know in the comments. Will this sequel be worth the wait?

Co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller reunite to bring Miller’s visually stunning “Sin City” graphic novels back to the screen in SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR. Weaving together two of Miller’s classic stories with new tales, the town’s most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more notorious inhabitants. SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR is the follow up to Rodriguez and Miller’s 2005 groundbreaking film, FRANK MILLER’S SIN CITY.

SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR opens August 22nd, 2014
