It’s still a year away, but with San Diego Comic-Con coming up Marvel is already starting to leak some official images from AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, who is releasing another Comic-Con issue, we now get our first look at the highly-anticipated sequel, including views of Captain America (Chris Evans) in his new costume, and Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is his Iron Man armor. But the real treat is getting our first image of the title villain of the piece. Ultron (voiced by James Spader), the robotic nemesis of the superhero team, is shown on the EW cover with an army of robotic soldiers. In the issue EW talks about Ultron’s origin, in that Tony Stark creates it as a “self-aware, self-teaching, artificial intelligence designed to help assess threats, and direct Stark’s Iron Legion of drones to battle evildoers” …but it’s said Ultron feels the world would be better off with the eradication of the human race. Joss Whedon returns as the director, and outside of Downey Jr. and Evans, the cast includes Mark Ruffalo, Cobie Smulders Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, with Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, and James Spader. Check out the first official photos from the film and tell us your thoughts in the comments. A few things worthy of note here – we see Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver and Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch (pretty awesome), and Don Cheadle is also present… does this mean War Machine or Iron Patriot will make an appearance?
