I’ll say this for Daniel Radcliffe, since finishing up the HARRY POTTER franchise his career choices have been rather interesting, whether on stage or the big screen. His latest project HORNS is based on the Joe Hill novel of the same name, and directed by Alexandre Aja (HIGH TENSION). In the story Radcliffe becomes a man of great suspicion once his girlfriend dies, but what’s more unusual is his transformation afterward… in which he sprouts horns, and develops strange abilities which affect those around him. The supporting cast includes Juno Temple and Sabrina Carpenter. Not sure how folks will react to this one, but the concept is definitely intriguing. Check out the first teaser trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments. Here’s a summary of the Joe Hill novel:

Ignatius William Perrish wakes up bleary and confused after a night of drinking and “doing terrible things” to find he has grown horns. In addition to being horribly unsightly, these inflamed protuberances give Ig an equally ugly power–if he thinks hard enough, he can make people admit things (intimate, embarrassing, I-can’t-believe-you-just-said-that details). This bizarre affliction is of particular use to Ig, who is still grieving over the murder of his childhood sweetheart (a grisly act the entire town, including his family, believes he committed).

And here’s the official description for the film, which is rather brief:

In the aftermath of his girlfriend’s mysterious death, a young man awakens to strange horns sprouting from his temples.

HORNS opens October 31, 2014
