Two International GODZILLA trailers finally show us the monster… plus new IMAX poster

We’ve seen a few trailers for Warner Brothers’ GODZILLA, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins and David Strathairn. Now we’ve got a few more for audiences in Asia, and they may actually be better than any of the American versions… plus they finally show us what Godzilla looks like, pretty clearly too. If you like the idea of not knowing what to expect, think twice before continuing. Let’s start with a new IMAX poster, which is pretty incredible.

Directed by Gareth Edwards (MONSTERS), this promises to be a pretty amazing cinematic experience. I’m glad the studio is making a point to show Bryan Cranston, still hot off the heels of BREAKING BAD, as it’s smart to put him in there as much as possible to sell this thing… yeah, like this kind of movie needs a “selling” point. Heh. GODZILLA is definitely one of our most-anticipated films of 2014, but what about you? Check out the new trailers below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence. Gareth Edwards directs “Godzilla,” which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson (“Kick-Ass”), Oscar® nominee Ken Watanabe (“The Last Samurai,” “Inception”), Elizabeth Olsen (“Martha Marcy May Marlene”), Oscar® winner Juliette Binoche (“The English Patient,” “Cosmopolis”), and Sally Hawkins (“Blue Jasmine”), with Oscar® nominee David Strathairn (“Good Night, and Good Luck.,” “The Bourne Legacy”) and Bryan Cranston (“Argo,” TV’s “Breaking Bad”)

This one comes from Japan:

GODZILLA will rise on May 16, 2014.
