Wow. It’s not often a trailer really blows me away, but this is one for the books. Bryan Singer returns to the X-director chair for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, bringing back several of the original trilogy cast members for this dark follow-up to X-MEN: FIRST CLASS. Here’s who you’re about to see in the trailer – original Professor X (played by Patrick Stewart) and Magneto (played by Ian McKellen), Storm (played by Halle Berry), Rogue (played by Anna Paquin), Iceman (played by Shawn Ashmore), and Kitty Pryde (played by Ellen Page). Then there’s the more modern cast returning from the FIRST CLASS outing, including young Professor X (James McAvoy), young Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), and Beast (Nicholas Hoult), But you may be wondering about the newer faces that show up in the clips. We’ll start with the bad guy Bolivar Trask (played by Peter Dinklage), who unfortunately is seen very briefly here, so his involvement in the story is still a bit of a mystery. Here’s who we’ve also spotted – Bishop (Omar Sy), Warpath (Booboo Stewart), Sunspot (Adan Canto), and Blink (Bingbing Fan)… as an X-Men comic book fan, this really is a dream come true. I’m hoping with Singer at the helm (the man who gave us two solid X-Men movies in the original trilogy) things will all come together. Take a look and see what you think, and tell us in the comments.
The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The beloved characters from the original “X-Men” film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from “X-Men: First Class,” in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.
OMFG, this trailer gave me goosebumps in more places than I care to admit. The fact that they backed it up with music from Sunshine only added to it.
I second that, CandleVixen. I can NOT wait.
I am not seeing anything really than…well a lot of loud music
skyblaze, what are you saying? Video playing fine here.
