We previously posted some movie posters from the upcoming PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME movie, featuring Jake Gyllenhaal, Ben Kingsley (SHUTTER ISLAND), Gemma Arterton (QUANTUM OF SOLACE), and Alfred Molina (SPIDER-MAN 2) – based on the popular video game. Jerry Bruckheimer is producing this along with Walt Disney Pictures, so it’s safe to say they’re hoping for another PIRATES OF CARIBBEAN-ish franchise. They even use the PIRATES logo in this new trailer, which debuted over at IGN. The film is directed by Mike Newell, who also brought us HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE… you know, the one dreamy Robert Pattinson appeared in before he got all TWILIGHT on us? Check out the new trailer for PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME, which is filled with lots of action and interesting effects shots. Definitely has “big summer movie” written all over it. Will you be at theaters this summer to see Jake sporting an accent and lots of muscles?
PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME opens May 28, 2010

From 2002 until 2015 he managed the Dallas Comic Con, Sci-Fi Expo and Fan Days events in the DFW area. He currently catalogs rare comic books and movie memorabilia for Heritage Auctions, and runs the Dallas Comic Show conventions, but remains an avid moviegoer and cinema buff.
