STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS full trailer arrives online!

EDITOR’S NOTE: Okay folks, Paramount, for whatever reason is taking down all trailer links, so we’re trying to keep up. If it’s removed, know it’s not our fault.

Last week, we got two teaser trailers for next summer’s highly anticipated sequel to 2009’s STAR TREK…  STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS is the name and keeping us guessing is their game.  Benedict Cumberbatch plays the villain and that’s about all that we know.  Is it Gary Mitchell?  John Harrison?  Khan? Someone else?  No one knows for sure.

If you saw the Japanese trailer last week, you will know that the production team is sure having fun toying with us.  There is no way that they couldn’t have foreseen the obvious connections, whether true or not, that we would have seen with the ending to that teaser and the end of STARK TREK: THE WRATH OF KHAN. . .

Anyway, with a new week comes a new trailer.  You can now check it out below and be sure to let us know what you think in the comments below.

STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve and Peter Weller.

SYNOPSIS: In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes “Star Trek Into Darkness.”

When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis.

With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction.

As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS is set to hit 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D theaters on May 17, 2013.
