Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher in KILLERS – trailer debut

.

.

I remember my buddy Mark Brooks telling me about the Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher (Mark pronounces it Kootcher for some reason) m0vie shooting in Atlanta last year, and we even drove by the location (within walking distance from his house) where you could see their principal shooting house set and the aftermath of a shootout chase scene.  I believe up until now I was under the impression this would be a fairly serious film, though the trailer is definitely selling it as a comedy.  Oddly enough it looks very similar to the Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz film KNIGHT AND DAY coming out July 2.  The original title of this movie was FIVE KILLERS, but is now just KILLERS.  Directed by Robert Luketic (LEGALLY BLONDE, THE UGLY TRUTH), the film co-stars Tom Selleck, Catherine O’Hara, Katheryn Winnick, Rob Riggle, Lisa Ann Walter (love her), Martin Mull, Casey Wilson, and (though not on the IMDB credits but clearly in the trailer) FAMILY GUY‘s Alex Borstein.  Looks like it might be fun.  I’m glad to see Luketic break away from the standard romantic comedy fare, and as long as he handles action scenes well, this could be pretty enjoyable.

KILLERS opens June 4, 2010
