Adam Sandler reteams with director Dennis Dugan for a new comedy where he shares the screen with Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, and Rob Schneider.  Dugan and Sandler have had some great success together with films like HAPPY GILMORE and YOU DON’T MESS WITH THE ZOHAN, and some forgettable pairings like BIG DADDY and I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHECK AND LARRY.  Dugan also directed some somewhat mediocre comedies like BEVERLY HILLS NINJA, SAVING SILVERMAN, NATIONAL SECURITY, and BENCHWARMERS.  But he’s already worked with all of the GROWN UPS stars at one point or another, and the idea of these five sharing the screen together could potentially be pretty great… or a total disaster.  Either way, I’m intrigued.  I should note that Dugan directed one of favorite hardy-ever-seen comedies called BRAIN DONORS, which was a loving modern-day tribute to THE THREE STOOGES and THE MARX BROTHERS films of yesteryear.  The movie also features Steve Buscemi, Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, and Gary Busey, plus Saturday Night Live alumnists Maya Rudolph, Norm MacDonald, Tim Meadows, and Colin Quinn.  The story of GROWN UPS follows five friends who reunite for Fourth of July weekend 30 years after their high school graduation.  Check out this new clip “Shifts”, which I got a little chuckle out of.  I’m also a little anxious to know who exactly it is they’re looking at.
