Video interview: Josh Hutcherson, Isabelle Fuhrman & Jacqueline Emerson on THE HUNGER GAMES

If you missed hearing about it, Lionsgate recently organized some exciting events to get the fans hyped up for the March 23rd release of THE HUNGER GAMES in theaters. Several members of the cast made stops at malls around the country, signing autographs and meeting the fans. The Dallas leg of the tour saw stars Josh Hutcherson (Peeta), Isabelle Fuhrman (Clove) and Jacqueline Emerson (Foxface) making appearances. Thankfully they took time to stop and talk to the local press about their work in the highly-anticipated film, and we’ve got video from packed press junket. I’ve actually interviewed Josh before for BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA, which came out in 2007. It’s been fun watching him grow up on the big screen, and this latest role is easily the biggest thing he’s ever done. I was also excited to talk with Isabelle Fuhrman, as I loved him work in ORPHAN – watch it if you haven’t and tell me she doesn’t effectively creep you out. It was also a lot of fun to see the sincere enthusiasm of Jacqueline Emerson, as this is her first big screen role. Check out the video below. Please note, these clips are excerpts from a press conference with several journalists, but the questions you’ll hear are coming from me, followed by their answers to those questions. Big thanks to Rachel Parker of DFWlive for shooting this, and thanks to the fine folks at Allied Entertainment for setting this up. Check out the video below and leave your thoughts in the comments.

And finally, the trio talk about what’s coming up next for each of them – you may hear a few other journalists asking things in this short clip:
