UPDATE: Sorry, we had the links going to the Thursday night Livecast instead of just the interview. It’s fixed now.
Last year at the South by Southwest Film Festival, one of the most memorable films I saw was director Xavier Gens’ THE DIVIDE, and gritty post-apocalyptic character study that takes the man against man archetype to frightening levels. It stars Lauren German, Michael Eklund, Milo Ventimiglia, Rosanna Arquette, Courtney B. Vance, Ashton Holmes, Iván González, and Abbey Thickson… but the standout performance is that of the great Michael Biehn. Let’s face it, Biehn has always been great – THE ABYSS and TOMBSTONE come to mind, but ALIENS, THE TERMINATOR and THE ROCK are perennial favorites as well. If you’re familiar with our site, you know we’ve talked at length to Michael (and his lovely wife Jennifer) before HERE and HERE, but since Anchor Bay is releasing THE DIVIDE this weekend in Dallas, I thought it would be good to catch up once more and chat about the film’s highly-anticipated release. This also comes on the heels of fantastic news that Michael’s directorial effort THE VICTIM has also been picked up by Anchor Bay, so look for a release (and perhaps another interview) on that soon. In the meantime check out the full audio interview I did with Mr. Biehn recently right HERE (click to open your preferred media player, or right click and save the MP3).
We want to make sure people get out to see THE DIVIDE, so if you attend a showing this weekend, keep you ticket stub and you could win some cool goodies from the movie! We’re giving away prize packs from the film, courtesy of Anchor Bay, and entering is easy. Just mail your paid ticket stub to:
